Our story
From garage startup to global platform
For more than 30 years, mpro5 has been pioneering and evolving compliance and frontline operations software.
What began as a UK family business (quite literally in a garage) has grown into a publicly listed company on the London Stock Exchange. That history still shapes how we work today: agile, hands-on, and focused on working closely with customers to solve real-world operational problems at scale.
Founded in 1996 by Barrie Whipp, mpro5 remains proudly family-led. Barrie’s children, Ruby and Fred, now work in the business as Chief Product Officer and Chief Revenue Officer.
Their involvement helps keep us customer-focused and protects the culture of innovation that has been at the heart of mpro5 from the beginning.
Our mission
Unifying frontline operations
Our mission has evolved as the world of frontline operations has changed.
Over the years, we’ve enabled thousands of organisations to move from paper and manual processes to digital, including some of the world’s largest brands, such as Tesco — a customer for over 12 years.
Today, many organisations have already gone digital but they now face a new challenge: too many disconnected tools. Fragmented systems create extra admin, duplicated effort and higher costs. Instead of making things easier, they often limit visibility across teams and sites.
That’s why the next stage of our mission is clear: to unify frontline operations by bringing tasks, compliance, communication and learning together in one intelligent, connected platform.
Everything we build is designed around one goal: help our customers save money, run smarter operations and drive stronger sales performance across every site.
